Challenge
Citrix, the leader in virtual desktop computing, was launching a new version of their flagship product, XenDesktop 4. The product’s key appeal involves an enabling technology called Citrix FlexCast, which is a highly differentiating feature. The challenge was how to communicate this multi-dimensional capability in a way that would be incrementally descriptive, personally relevant to the user’s business and IT environment, and compelling enough to lead the visitor through profiling their own situation.
App Solution
As the Clarus team quickly came up-to-speed on desktop virtualization, then working with Citrix marketing and implementation teams, including the CMO, they were able to identify specific enterprise usage scenarios as well as the virtualization technology implementation approaches. The Clarus team developed a rich experience that melded a series of 3D environments, video interactions, scenario white-boarding and product configuration into a highly educational experience.
Results
Fully integrated into Citrix.com, the new Flexcast experience takes customer education and interaction to a new level, preparing prospects with enterprise-personalized configurations that accelerate the buying cycle. And finally, with a user experience rating of “Extremely Effective” for 85% of Citrix surveyed visitors, the Flexcast webapp/microsite is an overwhelming success.
